This policy explains how caleb.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies, why we use them and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Caleb Storkey, the operator of caleb.co.uk.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, phone or tablet when you visit. They let the site recognise your device, remember your choices and understand how the site is used.
Some cookies are set by us. These are called first-party cookies. Others are set by the services we use, such as analytics or advertising platforms. These are called third-party cookies.
Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser. These are session cookies. Others stay on your device for a set period. These are persistent cookies.
This policy also covers similar technologies that work in much the same way, including:
Throughout this policy, we use the word “cookies” to cover all of these.
We use cookies in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
This means:
We group cookies into four categories.
These cookies are needed for the site to work. They keep forms secure, remember your cookie choices, and save your progress through tools such as a scorecard or learning plan. Because the site cannot work properly without them, they do not need your consent. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site may then stop working.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | caleb.co.uk | Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask you again on every visit | 12 months |
| Session cookie | caleb.co.uk | Keeps the site running smoothly and secures forms during your visit | End of session |
| Progress storage | caleb.co.uk (local storage) | Saves your answers and progress through a scorecard or learning plan on your device | Until you clear it |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Protects the site and embedded services from bots and malicious traffic | 30 minutes |
These cookies help us understand how people find and use the site. They show us which pages are visited, how long people stay and where they came from. We use this information to improve the site and our content. The information is collected in aggregate and does not tell us who you are.
We only set these cookies if you agree.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another | 2 years |
| ga[ID] | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your session | 2 years |
Google Analytics is provided by Google. You can read more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
These cookies are set by advertising and social media platforms. They help us measure how well our campaigns work and show more relevant adverts to people who have visited the site. The platforms may also use them to build a profile of your interests and show you adverts on other sites.
We only set these cookies if you agree.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Measures advertising performance and shows relevant adverts | 3 months |
| fr | Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Delivers and measures adverts | 3 months |
| li_sugr | Identifies the browser for advertising measurement | 3 months | |
| bcookie | Identifies the browser for LinkedIn services | 1 year | |
| lidc | Routes data to the right LinkedIn data centre | 1 day | |

You can read more in the Meta privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy and the LinkedIn cookie policy at linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy.
Some pages include content from other services, such as videos, booking calendars, webinar sign-up forms and newsletter forms. When you view or interact with this content, those services may set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control these cookies.
Where we can, we hold back embedded content until you have given consent, or we use privacy-enhanced versions. For example, we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set cookies until you press play.
| Service | What it is used for | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube | Videos | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Calendly | Booking calls and meetings | calendly.com/privacy |
| Zoom | Webinars and online sessions | zoom.com/en/trust/privacy |
The cookies set by embedded services can change from time to time. Please check their own policies for the latest details.
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose which categories to allow. Non-essential cookies stay switched off until you choose.
You can change your choices at any time by using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop setting those cookies from that point. Cookies already on your device may remain until they expire or you delete them.
We ask again for your consent every 12 months, or sooner if we make a significant change to the cookies we use.
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies. Here is where to find the settings:
If you block all cookies, some parts of the site may not work properly. For example, your progress through a scorecard may not be saved.
You can also manage interest-based advertising across many companies at youronlinechoices.eu. You can control adverts on social platforms through the ad settings in your Meta and LinkedIn accounts.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for the period shown in the tables above. This is usually between one day and two years, unless you delete them sooner.
Some of the services we use, such as Google, Meta and LinkedIn, may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, they rely on recognised legal safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. You can find more detail in our privacy policy.
Where cookies collect personal data, you have rights under UK data protection law. These include the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. Our privacy policy explains these rights in full and how to use them.
If you are unhappy with how we use cookies, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a tool or when the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will ask for your consent again through the cookie banner.
